PARTNERSHIP CRITERIA
Hovde seeks to invest $10 to $50 million of common equity in public and private depository institutions located in geographically diverse markets across the U.S. with assets ranging from $250 million to $5 billion. We are looking to make both control and significant minority equity investments in companies that require a capital infusion to shore up their balance sheet for turnaround or in companies that need equity to drive growth via traditional M&A or FDIC-assisted transactions.
Hovde is a long-term investor and places a premium on a bank's current franchise attributes, which include management, market position, mix of business, deposit composition, and financial performance. We do tend to be value investors and evaluate intensively a bank's loan and investment portfolio in determining capital adequacy and valuation.
